South
- Follow the European Road 4 (E4) north towards the city of Ljungby. Follow the freeway; be prepared to take the right exit towards “Dörarp/Toftaholm”. Just follow the road signs until you reach “Gyllene Rasten”.
North
- Follow the European Road 4 (E4) south. After you’ve passed the city of Värnamo, be prepared to take the right exit towards “Toftaholm”. Just follow the road signs until you reach “Gyllene Rasten”.
Traveling by plane and by train (& bus)
The easiest way to travel to memorial site at “Gyllene Rasten” is by car. Now, we know that’s not always possible or the least expensive alternative.
We recommend that your flight destination should be (if possible) Copenhagen (Denmark), Gothenburg, Malmö or Stockholm. Then you have to travel by train and bus.
From Copenhagen, Danmark (Kastrup International Airport) to Dörarp, Vittaryd
- Train tickets at the airport are available from the DSB ticket office above the railway station in Terminal 3. Tickets and travel cards (for the Copenhagen and Northern Zealand HT-zone) are also available from ticket machines in the station area.
- Trains bound for Malmö leaves every 20 minutes from Platfrom 1.

- There are two Arlanda Express stations at the Airport: Arlanda South and Arlanda North. Disembark at Arlanda South if your flight departs from Terminals 2, 3 or 4. Disembark at Arlanda North if your flight is from terminal 5. Sky City is located between terminals 4 and 5 and can be accessed via either station.

Good to know
- You can easily book a train- and bus trip (not taxi nor train from copenhagen international airport though) from this website. Just enter you depature- (CITY) and arrival destionation (VITTARYD).
- When you leave from Ljungby bustation be sure to let the busdriver know where you're traveling. Busdrivers can be very helpful.
- When you reach Ljungby you can also choose to take a taxi to "Gyllene Rasten", though it's pretty expensive.
- It's possible to spend the night at "Gyllene Rasten".
